June 7, 2004 Steering Committee Meeting Minutes

Funding: Patti Leppala will follow up on possible funding through Community Development Block Grants; NICASA will be the fiscal agent for CDBGs. 

Subcommittees: There are concerns that the subcommittees need more direction; subcommittee chairs will be invited to the next steering committee meeting on June 23^rd to discuss their progress and to give chairs an opportunity to have questions answered. 

Report: The final draft of the report on the April 14^th workshop was agreed on.  Everyone who attended the workshop will get the full report, including notes from the breakout groups and information on subcommittees.  Everyone invited to the Feb. 23 breakfast will receive the executive summary and information on subcommittees.  Cindy Peart, Michelle Michaels, and Kelley Talbot will coordinate the mailing. 

Website and listserv: The committee agreed to create a website which will include information on upcoming meetings, contact information, and a copy of the report.  A web forum, such as Yahoo groups, will also be created to facilitate discussion about after-school issues.
