The committee’s goal is to identify all after school/out-of-school programming in Lake County, and compile a resource guide.  A survey will be developed that will be mailed out to schools, social service agencies, park districts, special-rec associations, police departments, libraries, faith-based organizations, scout organizations, juvenile justice, etc.  The survey results will be collected and compiled into a resource guide of all after-school programming available in Lake County, and may also be made available on the Coalition’s website. 

Progress to date:

·    a draft survey has been developed and mailing lists are being collected

·    volunteers are starting to be identified for mailing

·    NICASA has agreed to “take the lead” on the mailing and collection of surveys

Needs:

·    funding for expenses: postage and paper

·    cover letter from Kathy Ryg and Chief Rose (on “our” letterhead?)

Target Date:

·    we would like to get this survey out in the mail by the end of September
