SUBMIT YOUR EXCELLENCE IN CHARACTER AWARD NOMINATIONS BY APRIL
6, 2012!!!
All Lake County schools are invited to participate in the
7th
Annual
Excellence in Character Awards Program brought to you by
Character Matters in Lake County,
a committee of the Lake County After School Coalition (LCASC)
and The Regional Office of Education in Lake County. The purpose
of this program is to honor students and staff members across
the county who exhibit outstanding character within their school
communities. Over the past six years we have recognized hundreds
of individuals who lead by example and are a source of
inspiration and hope for the future. Common character traits
emerge from the stories shared in the nominations, such as
compassion, commitment, kindness, perseverance, integrity, and
responsibility.
Each school can submit a nomination for one student and one
staff member who exhibit outstanding character and contribute to
their school community in positive, meaningful ways. Nominations
will be accepted until Friday, April 6, 2012.
Certificates and awards will be mailed to each school in early
May. We strongly encourage you to recognize award recipients at
your school’s end of year programs. The names and schools of
those honored will be listed on LCASC website as well.
Please join us as we recognize students and staff members across
Lake County who make our schools and communities great!
